We spent the day at Remedy Oak Golf Club for a charity golf day hosted by the Chicken and Blues restaurant group in support of The Steve Bernard Foundation.
Professional golfer Zane Scotland was there and took a Bertie Boucher putter out for a proper test. His feedback was excellent — he picked out the weight and the feel through the stroke in particular, and was impressed by just how far the customisation options go.
The day also produced one of those moments nobody in the group will forget: a hole-in-one on the 9th, worth £25,000 for the cause.
The Steve Bernard Foundation
The foundation was set up in memory of Steve 'Stevie B' Bernard, who died in a car accident in November 2005.
Since forming in February 2006 it has raised over £500,000 and supported more than 400 sporting projects across Bournemouth, Dorset and the South Coast, as well as a number of projects internationally.
